SATURDAY MORNING MUSIC CLUB #1
The Academy Is… —Skeptics and True Believers.
So yeah, I’m totally stealing this concept from William Beckett of The Academy Is… (by the way, I would still use this song even if the concept was non-TAI related) Mr. Beckett does a Saturday Night Music Club, but whatever. This one’s mine. When I remember to do so, I’m going to post a song that’s meaningful to me either late Friday night or early Saturday morning. Or Sunday or Monday or whenever I get around to doing it. This is the first.
Would you believe me if I said I didn’t need you, because I wouldn’t believe you if you said the same to me. No matter what I say, or what I do, what I deny, or what I claim to be true, I will need you. All of you. Because without you, I am nothing. Within those around me lies the basis of my motivation to continue fighting, instead of just giving up, giving in.
Don’t be so scared to take a moment of reflection, to take a leave of absence, see what you’re made of. I am considering this my moment of courage, my chance to step out from behind the curtain (even though I’m not quite ready to take off the mask, I am standing before you). At the same time, I’m stepping back, trying to see through the eyes of anyone else, and in turn, seeing if I am capable of this.
Don’t be so scared. It’s harder for me.

P.S. My mother and my sister are totally getting our Blink 182/Fall Out Boy/Panic at the Disco tickets later this morning. Hells yeah!
